Our minds are capable of so much, but as we get older we stop actively using the mind in all the ways it can work for us. Remember, when we were kids, we would imagine the most grandiose ideas? We’d say, “I am going to be a firefighter,” then continue to imagine this story play out fully in our minds to the point where we can act out the entire life of a firefighter with just a water hose. You could almost feel the heat of the fire surrounding you as you save lives of families and cats. If it weren’t for the age restriction and written exam, you’d be turning in the application after nap time.
Our goals may surely change since then. But we tend to also stop exercising this wonderous imagination ability of our minds. Visualization meditation allows us to tap back into this forgotten skill of ours. This tool is powerful because it allows room for manifestation by focusing on images of a realized goal. If you can’t imagine yourself accoplishing a goal then the chances of it becoming a reality is unfathomable and much less likely. You increase your chances tremndously just by imagining your life completely fulfilled.
Do it with me; imagine yourself completely accomplished. What do you look like? Where are you? Who are you impacting? What is surrounding you? What is happening around you? Paint the picture fully and sit with it. That’s all there is to it.
We will play more with visualization as we work through our life vision during the Mindful Glow Up TODAY at 10AM – free on FB/IG Live.
